Welcome to "Back Roads", my little corner of the photographic world. I love exploring the unpaved roads of Kansas and other states. I enjoy the peace & quiet that comes with being away, sometimes far away, from the more traveled byways. Fortunately, my home state of Kansas has thousands of miles of back roads to wander. The scenery isn't as dramatic as the Rocky Mountains or the Grand Canyon; it's subtle and often times surprising. One has to slow down, and even stop and really look around to appreciate it. Those who only know it from driving I-70 at 80+ mph don't know what they're missing.
You will find some favorite images from Colorado, Michigan, North Carolina and Vermont. Besides nature photography, I also love to photograph street rods and abandoned cars and trucks. Last, but not least, I dabble in impressionistic images.
More images will be loaded over the course of time. Many of my images are on slides, so I'll be going through the slow process of scanning & processing them. If you like what you see, tell a friend; if you don't, please let me know. Anyway, I hope you find an image or two that you enjoy.
